03 Jul Q2/26 RCP: Translating Color Shifts for Retail Color Palettes
The Q2 2026 performance data gave us a definitive read on color trends. Across the retail sector, we saw a massive anchoring in versatile blues (representing over a quarter of our core 46-color spectrum) and a resilient, high-chroma surge in reds and purples. But macro fashion forecasting isn’t just about analyzing what performed last quarter—it’s about mapping those spectral shifts into actionable, long-range seasonal trend forecasts.
As we look at the most requested colors for Spring/Summer 2027 and Fall/Winter 2027, the 46 standout shades from Q2 form our absolute foundation. To bridge the gap between historical data and future application, we have restructured this spectrum into 10 highly functional, cross-hue palettes.
The colors indicate a heavy reliance on the tension between digital optimism and grounded reality. The Q2 data supports elevating the lighter blues, vivid greens, and high-energy pinks. Palettes are migrating toward bright, synthetic-feeling hues anchored by essential tans and yellows.
As the luminous brights cool down, palettes lean heavily into the deeply pigmented reds, rich browns, and complex greys that showed quiet but consistent strength in Q2.
Aside from the popular Seasonal colors, the colors below from Q2 are a part of our Top Selling or Timeless Color reports and are popular across all seasons and palettes. To find out more about these, check out our Color Reports section.
