“It’s the blue heart of the planet – we should take care of our heart.” American explorer | Sylvia Earle
The ocean provides us with the oxygen we breathe as well as delivering ingredients for many of our medicines, vitamins,
foods, and drinks. Each of us can make a difference in our way, whether by advocating for marine protection,
boycotting plastic, eating sustainably-caught seafood, or just helping to educate our friends and children. What is common
sense for some may just be a matter of offering reminders to others.
Water has healing effects; the sound, sight, and feel of it can provide many health benefits. Watery blues are inherently
soothing, calming the mind and creating clarity of thought. The healing and transformational properties of water have always
been a source to find relaxation and to connect with others in a calming setting. The water element is crucial to balancing
the body and creating physical harmony. Our affinity for water is reflected in the near-universal
Attraction to the color blue. We’re naturally drawn to aquatic hues.
These ocean blues offer a meditative state of peacefulness, unity, and a sense of general happiness at the moment. The blue and the green both have the same calming attributes associated with serenity, creativity, friendship, and intuition. This one color alone evokes images of sandy beaches and a place people can go to and forget about their worries.
“It’s the blue heart of the planet – we should take care of our heart. It’s what makes life possible for us. We still have an excellent chance to make things better than they are. They won’t get better unless we take action and inspire others to do the same thing. No one is without power. Everybody can do something.” -Sylvia Earle
