Snow makes the winter landscapes inviting and cozy. Houses and barns, wagons and cars, lakes and trees, all glow under its crisp pastel colors. There is a sense of pleasure and gladness, observing the mastery of nature covering all with a fluffy white blanket. The rustic charm of distant northern villages has never been more appealing, as it is with the first winter snow. It is time for your favorite book, time to complete the unfinished poem, time to bake a fresh loaf of bread, time to cook Dad’s favorite recipe, time to write and send all these letters and postcards, which have been waiting for a “better time”. Time to reflect on all that has been, and all that is coming to be.

The woods in the snow are magical – peaceful and serene, dressed in white lace. The colors of winter are gentle and subdued.
